It is not my intention to review if Brain Abundance is a scam or not. I really do not think it is a Ponzi scheme (even though it reminds me of one). They seem to be selling a decent enough product which is the Brain Fuel Plus: A dietary supplement that promises to boost your brain function resulting in better overall mental clarity.
It is shame because Brain Fuel Plus could very well be an awesome nutrition supplement.
But who cares about healthy nutrition when there is bigger money to be made in selling the compensation plan.
Watch the short video below. It is funny … and disturbing.
Plus he also made money with Brain Abundance. Yes, the many idiosyncrasies of MLM and Network Marketing.
Personally, I have nothing against the MLM/Network Marketing model. However, Brain Abundance reminded me of a Ponzi scheme I heard of when I was younger which involve selling tap water for thousands of dollar.
This Ponzi scheme was so popular in Hong Kong that the when it crashed, it was all over the local news coverage and there were even crowd of people protesting on the streets demanding their money back when they finally relies what they have actually bought bottled tap water.
Like to Sell Ice to Eskimos?
It started with the “Guru”, with supernatural power of healing anything from cancer to the common flu and somehow manages to harness the same powers into bottled water.
Don’t laugh. Something this “miraculous” could and should sell for thousands of dollar.
And it gets weirder. Only members get to buy the miracle water at a discounted price. Membership cost was also in the thousands but no worries, if you or your referrals bring in members, you can get paid in really high commissions and easily earn way more than your membership cost. Many local folks were endorsing this scheme and making tens of thousands of dollars
You might be wondering how such a ridiculous scam could ever work but it did and many people lost their fortune to this scam. Kind of like the story of the emperor’s new clothes. No one would admit they were that fool that had spent thousands of dollar buying water from the tap …especially when there is money to be made.
The Almost Ponzi Industry
This was how Brian Abundance was first presented to me. I did not even know what the product or company was but I don’t blame them. In fact, it is considered old fashion to talk about the product in the MLM / Network Marketing industry. Nowadays, it is all about selling the business, or how you can make money with their revolutionary compensation plan that forces you to get paid (pun intended).
A Ponzi scheme is when money is made by signing people up with little or no real product or service being delivered. So yes, Brain Abundance is not a Ponzi scheme. They do deliver a real product which is their Brain Fuel Plus nutrition supplement. Just because no one is using the product (or their top earners are just throwing away the product) does not make it a Ponzi scheme.
More like trying really hard to find an excuse to make Ponzi money. But let’s just get any product just in case people think we are a Ponzi scheme.
You might as well be selling tap water again. We could reduces carbon footprint, wastage and save the environment.
Not a tree hugger? How about condoms? I know some of us could benefit from a monthly supply of condoms. There is definitely monthly residual income potential on this product.
Sorry I digress.
And I do apologies that Brain Abundance became the victim of my sarcasm. But this is also the problem with MLM / Network Marketing. You might think that the perfect business has finally landed on your lap but unfortunately, you also inherited its share bad reputation and shenanigans.
